What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career? Completing my degree means I am able to fulfill my dream of teaching children in a school setting. Since completing my degree at OSU I have found a job as a kindergarten teacher in a small town and am able to directly apply everything I learned in my Masters classes in my classroom.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?  I chose to attend the MAT program because I really liked the philosophy and ideals that the program offered. I enjoyed the cultural aspect of the program and the student teaching placement options that were offered.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student? Overall, all of the instructors where helpful in the process and they all wanted to see the MAT cohort succeed. The placement supervisor Kathy Hagerty was the most helpful. I had the most direct contact with her and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about what the process entailed.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before?
The Masters degree that I received in taking E-campus classes has allowed me to get a job as a teacher. It has also opened up the door to work with ELL students which is a passion of mine and was one of the main reasons I chose OSU's MAT program.
