What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career? Completing my degree means that I can finish something that I have been working on for the past 10 years. I decided to go back to school when my daughter was 9 months old, and I decided that I wanted to be an example for her. I know that finishing will fill in the small hole that is in my life and give me confidence.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education? I chose to finish my degree online because I am a stay at home mother/wife to two fantastic children, and an amazing husband. I like that I can further my education from the comfort of my own home, on my own schedule.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student? I actually have two people, the first being Polly Jeneva, who was so supportive of me from the beginning. Even after terms that I didn't do well, I knew that she would tell me in a kind manner just what I needed to finish.

The second person would be Dr.Tim Reid; I took pretty much every History class that he taught, and he was always understanding when my husband traveled, as well as structured his classes to be accommodating of distance education students. He is truly the reason behind my History emphasis; he made a seemingly uninteresting subject, very interesting to me.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before? Hold my head high! I did it, I finished! It restores my faith in myself. I have flunked out 2 times, and I finally finished! Here I am 10 years later, walking across the stage!!!
