What does completing your degree mean to you? How do you feel it will improve your life and career?
Completing my bachelor's degree in anthropology is a dream come true. I have been working toward this degree for many years now, and I am ecstatic that I have been able to complete this at this stage of my life.

Why did you choose to complete your degree online through OSU Extended Campus? What did you like about this method of education?
I chose to complete my degree online through the Ecampus because it allowed me to continue working full-time. I did not have the option of not working while going back to school, but I did not let that keep me from pursuing my degree. The Ecampus program allowed me the flexibility I needed to meet all of my needs, financial and educational.

Did you have an instructor or advisor who was influential in helping you succeed as a distance student?
My first advisor in the anthropology department, Karen Mills, was an essential part of my program completion. Karen was extremely accessible via email and phone and was eager to help me achieve my goals. She worked with me on my degree audit and advocated for me regarding my transfer credits. I'm so grateful for her help even though I only met her face-to-face once.

What will your Ecampus degree allow you to do that you were unable to do before?
My Ecampus degree will allow me to apply for jobs in the field of cultural anthropology that I could not otherwise have applied for. I have always been intrigued by and studied culture and society, and now with a B.A. from OSU I hope to be able to share that knowledge while gaining experience in the world at large.
