Ecampus online courses are created with the idea that a distance student should never have to step foot on the Oregon State University campus. For many students, all coursework is completed in their own areas. OSU Extended Campus uses the Blackboard Learning Portal System. This program serves as a virtual classroom. Instructors post class notes, homework assignments, syllabi, quizzes and grades within Blackboard. Class discussions and communication with the instructor are also facilitated through Blackboard. In addition to textbooks, some courses also use the aid of videos or DVDs as learning tools. Please check the course-specific page at the Ecampus schedule of classes to see if you will need to rent or purchase these items from the OSU Beaver Store. Some courses require a proctor in your area for mid-terms and final exams. If your course requires a proctor, please see the exams and proctoring page for more information. |
