What is an S/U grade?

Answer:

An S/U grade stands for satisfactory or unsatisfactory. A grade of S (satisfactory) shall be equivalent to grades A, A–, B+, B, B–, C+, C, and C–. A grade of U (unsatisfactory) shall be equivalent to grades D+, D, D–, or F.

Grades of S or U have no grade point equivalent and shall not be included in the GPA computation. The credit of courses in which an S grade is obtained shall be counted towards graduation. Credits are not awarded for U grades. Please review Academic Regulation 18 carefully to familiarize yourself with the rules related to S/U grading.
