Tutoring For Students
Ecampus offers free online tutoring to enrolled Ecampus students. We encourage you to incorporate this online tutoring service into your courses.
Online Tutoring provides tutoring from qualified tutors in these subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Chemistry, Spanish, Writing (essays for any subject). The Online Writing Lab focusing on creative writing, business and technical writing, with support in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Online tutors (e-structors) are available an average of 20 hours a day!
Students registered for online courses will receive:
- 15 Hours of free tutoring (cumulative) paid by OSU Extended Campus in math (24/7), statistics, economics, biology, physics, accounting, chemistry, Spanish, and writing;
- Constructive critique of 12 written papers (essays) - Students submit writing for any subject and receive detailed, personalized feedback within 24 hours;
- Tutoring provided by academic professionals - over 80% have their Masters or PhDs;
- "Student Home Page" - with access to tutoring options and archives of tutoring sessions;
- Option to purchase additional tutoring time - if student goes over their 15 hours, they have the option to purchase additional tutoring time directly from SMARTHINKING, the company that is providing this service for OSU Ecampus (http://www.smarthinking.com/).
