The community college leadership doctorate program (CCLP) prepares faculty and administrators for leadership roles in technical and community colleges, higher education settings and similar organizations. The CCLP focuses on the application of quality research to the problems and opportunities in community and technical colleges.

The Ed.D./Ph.D. in Education program is offered by Oregon State University's College of Education and Ecampus.

Weekend classes

Classes are held one weekend per month at a conference center located at scenic Silver Falls State Park near Salem, Oregon. Students travel to this location each month to meet and study with their cohort. This is an approximate four-year or 108-120 credit doctoral degree program.

Collaborative cohort model

CCLP students enroll as members of a cohort with the goal of participating in an active learning community.  Participants are working professionals in higher education settings from Oregon, Washington, and a variety of Western states. Program graduates already include presidents and senior leaders in most of the two-year colleges in the northwestern United States. Collaboration has been the key to both CCLP excellence and graduates' career success. A major professor guides each student through the program.
