Admission Requirements and Deadlines for the Online Masters in Education Degree
Requirements
In order to be accepted into the online Masters Degree in Education (Ed.M.) program, you must have a baccalaureate degree, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 90 hours of coursework, and a completed application file that indicates your ability to succeed in a graduate program at OSU.
You must also be a practicing K-12 teacher while you are in the program.
Deadlines
You may begin the program any term. You will apply both to the university and to the online Education Masters program, and your application files must be complete five weeks prior to the start of the first term of courses to allow time for review and approval of your application.
You also have the option of taking online courses prior to formal admission to the Education Masters program. (Up to 15 credits may be transferred into the degree program.) If you wish to take online graduate courses in education before admission to the program, follow the procedures for admission to the university as a “non-degree seeking graduate student” and then register.
