Programs of Study for the Online Masters in Education Degree
The programs of study for this online Masters in Education degree include coursework, mentoring partnerships, and achievement of program outcomes. 
- Credits. This is a 45-credit degree - see the list below. You will complete 14 core credits and 12 credits that are specific to the grade levels you teach or are interested in teaching. Another 19 credits are completed in the focused areas of study (electives).
- Mentoring. You will be expected to develop a network of mentoring partnerships and opportunities to meet the program outcomes and enhance your teaching practice and leadership.
- Program outcomes. You will demonstrate that you have met the program outcomes either through projects or portfolios developed in your courses or focused area(s) of study, or through a synthesis paper to be written upon the completion of your program.

You will complete 19 credits of elective courses in one or more focused areas of study. You may work with an advisor to design a customized program, or choose to add an endorsement or authorization level to your current teaching license. Selecting Your Program of Study
Prior to or during the term in which you complete the 18th credit, you will file an official Program of Study form with the Graduate School that lists all the required and elective courses you wish to apply toward your degree. Instructions are in Step 4 of the Procedure and Forms web page.
