Chemistry - Minor Curriculum

Chemistry Minor Requirements

Chemistry MinorThe Ecampus Chemistry Minor requires a minimum of 27 credit hours and must include a minimum of four upper-division courses (300-400) of three or more credits in at least two areas of chemistry (organic, analytical or inorganic) and including one laboratory course.

Curriculum

Required courses

CH 121, CH 122, CH 123 - General Chemistry Sequence (15 credits total, 5 per course.  CH 122 and CH 123 include online laboratories.  No site visits are required, all course components are completed online.)
CH 331, CH 332 - Organic Chemistry Sequence (8 credits total, 4 per course.  Requires separate laboratory course.)
CH 337 - Organic Chemistry Lab (4 credits.  Requires on-campus lab experience.  CH 337 is currently delivered in face-to-face formats on the OSU campus, with one option being a three-week session during the summer term.)

Upper division choices

CH 324 - Quantitative Analysis (4 credits, includes lab) Debuts in 2010
CH 390 - Environmental Chemistry (3 credits)
CH 411 - Inorganic Chemistry (3 credits)
CH 490 - Computer Programming for Scientists (3 credits)
