Women Studies - Online Minor
Earn a minor in Women's Studies online through Extended Campus
OSU Extended Campus invites you to discover the flexibility and ease of completing a Women's Studies minor online as part of your undergraduate degree program.
Core requirements (18 credits)
Courses topics include self and society, personal and social change, systems of oppression in women's lives, theories of feminism, as well as an internship.
Electives (9 credits)
The remaining nine credits may be taken from the women's studies electives and from approved program courses offered by other departments online at OSU.
Undergraduate certificate
In addition to offering a minor, the Department of Women's Studies offers an undergraduate certificate designed to facilitate a broad interdisciplinary study of gender and women's issues. It emphasizes the diversity of women's experiences through a focus on disciplinary based knowledge about women's lives and relationships.
Core requirements (9 credits)
Course topics include self and society, theories of feminisim or philosophies and an internship.
Electives (18 credits)
The remaining 18 credits can be taken from elective courses offered by the Women Studies program and from approved program courses offered in any department at OSU online. However, at least 12 must focus on gender and/or women's issues.
