The OSU Natural Resources program provides graduates with a breadth and depth of technical and scientific knowledge spanning various natural resource and social science disciplines. In addition to completing foundation coursework, students choose a specialization in Fish and Wildlife Conservation, Natural Resource Policy, or Human Dimensions of Natural Resources.

As a Natural Resources major you will:

  • Study an interdisciplinary curriculum including the science and management of resources such as amenity uses, fish and wildlife, forests, range and water.
  • Learn about social, economic and political influences on resource use and environmental policy, and how to problem-solve when faced with sensitive natural resource issues in an atmosphere of diverse opinions.
  • Obtain preparation for careers in resource planning, management, conservation and education roles with government agencies, non-governmental organizations and in educational settings.
