Natural Resources
Marge Victor, Natural Resources Distance Advisor
Welcome
Welcome to the OSU Natural Resources Program! You have joined the ranks of an amazing group of people. One of the best parts of being an Ecampus Natural Resources Program advisor is helping adventurous and hardworking students steadily pursue their goals and dreams as they work, move, serve in the military and raise children. I'm well acquainted with the life and career changes that many of us make, and with the hard work and "balancing act" required to follow new academic pursuits. It's a thrill to witness students' progress through our program and emerge with their Natural Resources degrees!
About Me
My own academic background is in wildlife biology, forestry and land use planning. I earned a wildlife biology degree in Vermont and a graduate degree in land use planning in North Carolina, with an art degree from OSU in between. I've worked as a Park Service volunteer naturalist, computer programmer, Forest Service economist, self-employed graphic designer and writer/publicist. Natural resources-related work over the years has taken me to Alberta, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, Oregon and Vermont. In addition to my work as your advisor, I volunteer as a high school mentor and math tutor, and love hiking, birding, exploring and watching baseball!
Contacting Me
As you get started, keep in mind that the fastest way to get hold of me is by email. After you've sent me a clear description of your questions and problems, I'll be glad to write you back with the tools you need and call you for a conversation.
I look forward to working with you!
Marge Victor
