Ecampus Tuition
Course Tuition and Fees
Please see our website for current Ecampus tuition and fees information. You can also compare with tuition and fees paid for regular on-campus courses, which receive state funding. Note that distance students are not charged an extra amount when they live outside of Oregon; all distance students pay the same amount for tuition regardless of their state or national residence.
Tuition and fees for Ecampus courses are set at levels necessary to cover the direct costs of providing the courses. Since Ecampus courses are supported solely by tuition and fee revenue, graduate tuition remission (GTA, GRA) and OUS staff rates cannot be applied to Ecampus courses. Some scholarships also may not be applicable to Ecampus tuition and fees. Please contact Ecampus if you have any questions about these restrictions.
Undergraduate versus Graduate Rates
Tuition and fees are assessed based on level of the course (graduate vs. undergraduate), not based on the student's standing as a graduate or undergraduate. Thus, a graduate student taking an undergraduate level course will pay the undergraduate level tuition for that course.
Matriculation Fee
The first time you register as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at OSU, you will be charged a $300 matriculation fee. It is a one-time-only, mandatory fee that covers administrative services, instituted so that the university will not have to charge on an individual basis for these common services. The Graduate matriculation fee is $300.
Taking On-campus Classes at OSU?
Ecampus tuition is charged at a separate rate from the on-campus tuition and fees and is based on the fixed, per-credit rate stated on the website (link above). Ecampus courses are full price regardless of the number of campus-based credits you take during the term.
