Student Success Counselors

New academic counselors provide the guidance students need

A certain level of trust is required to enroll as a distance student in a university’s online degree program. Understandably, you want to be sure there is ample support to help you bridge the miles and succeed academically.

Dirk Gard, OSU Ecampus graduateThose benefits come with the territory when you enroll with Oregon State University Ecampus – and we keep adding new resources to provide you with all the assistance you need and deserve.

The latest addition to our staff is the Ecampus Student Success team, which includes four experienced academic counselors, all of whom work with prospective and current Ecampus students.

With future students, the team is focused on supporting students in the transition to (or back to) higher education. The counselors conduct unofficial evaluations of transfer credits in order to help students make informed decisions about Ecampus and about specific programs of study.

Moving forward, in collaboration with academic advisors and other campus support groups, the student success team will work on helping enrolled students better navigate and access OSU resources to support their academic success.

All of this support comes in addition to many other resources available to Ecampus students. Once enrolled in your degree program of choice, you will have access to an academic advisor to help you develop a clear path to graduation.

What’s more, the Ecampus Student Services team provides guidance on matters such as adding and dropping courses, grade discrepancies and more.

Visit the Ecampus website for an extensive list of student resources, including online tutoring, library services and career counseling.
