Ecampus courses are totally supported by tuition and fee revenue. Tuition and fees for Ecampus courses are set at levels necessary to cover the direct costs of providing the courses. Graduate tuition remission (GTA, GRA) and staff rates cannot be applied to Ecampus courses. Some scholarships may not be applicable to Ecampus tuition and fees.
On-Campus Students: Ecampus tuition is charged at a separate rate from your on-campus tuition and fees and is based on the fixed, per-credit rate stated above. Ecampus courses are full price regardless of the number of other credits that students take during the term.
Information for New Students
Once you have been admitted to OSU as a degree seeking student, there are initial fees that will be required:
Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD)
Fall Term Only: Payment for your Advance Tuition Deposit is required of all Degree seeking students. This will allow you to register for fall term classes. After May 2, 2010 your deposit is nonrefundable.
For Degree Partnership Program (DPP) Students: Payment for your Advance Tuition Deposit is required once you have been admitted. Your status will remain active provided you enroll in a class at OSU within the next 10 terms. The deposit will be applied to your OSU account in the term of registration.
For all other terms: The ATD is refundable up to three weeks before the start of the term. This applies to winter 2011, spring 2011, and summer 2011 students.
For more information on the ATD and how to submit your payment link to http://oregonstate.edu/admissions/firstyear/atd.html
Matriculation Fee
The first time you register as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at OSU, you will be charged a $300 matriculation fee.
What are the services associated with the distance education fee?
This fee covers items necessary to the delivery of distance courses such as: the development and production of online and video courses, Blackboard licensing fee, financial and registration services and online/telephone student services. The distance education fee replaces the fees on-campus students pay for items such as student health services, athletic fees, residence building fees, etc.
OSU Ecampus Workshop Fees
Tuition for OSU Extended Campus Workshops is the same no matter where your course is offered.
For all OSU workshops designated professional development 808, undergraduate 408, and graduate 508, Extended Campus charges a distance education fee of $50.00 per credit in addition to program specific fees (non-refundable).
OSU Non-Degree Admissions Fee
OSU Admissions requires a $25 application fee for any person who is not an active OSU Student. An active OSU student is defined as some one who has taken at least one credit course with OSU within the last four terms.
Program Fee
Each workshop is unique. Some programs may charge an additional fee for students who attend their workshops. Please check with the department or primary instructor to see if this fee will apply.
