How do I get an enforced prerequisite override? |
Answer: |
It is recommended to contact Ecampus about this procedure as it can vary depending upon the term and courses involved. If you have not completed the prerequisite for a course or you are a nondegree admitted student, you will receive a prerequisite error message when you try to register. To receive an override in most courses, you must receive email approval from the instructor of the course. Instructor contact information is available in the section syllabus located in the Ecampus schedule of classes. Students must let the instructor know the courses they have taken that they believe fulfill the prerequisites, the grades received and the institution that issued these grades. Some instructors may require your transcripts. Once instructor approval is obtained, this email should be forwarded to ecampus.ess@oregonstate.edu. Students must include their full name, OSU student identification number, course name and CRN. |
