With so many fun things to do during the summer, you might worry it’s going to be difficult to find the time to take a class or two as well.

Worry no more: During summer at OSU, classes are offered in multiple sessions ranging in length from one to 11 weeks, allowing you the flexibility to create your school schedule around your activity schedule.

“What I like most about Summer Session is definitely the compact classes. Being able to finish a 10-week course in four weeks is really nice,” says graphic design student Jason Hsu. “I like taking classes in the morning so I can go to work for a few hours after and then go out and eat, go to the coast to walk on the beach or go on hikes around town.

Various class session lengths during summer at Oregon State allow students to create their academic schedule around their activity schedule. Watch this video to learn more.

“Since the sun doesn’t set until late during summer, there’s a lot you can do after classes.”

Rather than offering only the traditional 10-week course, OSU Summer Session has the ability to offer the various course lengths in order to best meet students’ needs.

Maybe for you that means taking a one-week course so you can travel during the rest of the summer, or maybe you take a four- or eight-week course while you stay in town to work a job and enjoy all Corvallis has to offer in the summertime.

Whichever one you choose, this summer you can enjoy the freedom to do whatever your heart desires, in addition to catching up or getting ahead in your studies.

“I would definitely recommend Summer Session to other people,” says accountancy student Haley Shelton. “I wish I would have known about it sooner because it helps you graduate on time or sooner than you would have otherwise.
