Chaloux Scholarship for Early Career Excellence.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This scholarship recognizes individuals achieving extraordinary accomplishments in the field of online education at an early stage in their careers and is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to online education.<\/p>\n<div class=\"textBox\" style=\"width: 20%;\">\n<h4>MEDIA CONTACT<\/h4>\n<p><a title=\"Send an email to Tyler Hansen, Senior Writer and Communications Manager\" href=\"mailto:tyler.hansen@oregonstate.edu\">Tyler Hansen<\/a><br \/>\n541-737-5740<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In Perez\u2019s three years with Oregon State Ecampus, she has been instrumental in advancing student success and persistence for the university\u2019s online learners and championing work that serves students from underrepresented communities.<\/p>\n<p>Some of Marleigh\u2019s most notable work includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spearheading the inception and launch of a robust Native American community support initiative in partnership with the OSU Office of Institutional Diversity. She drives connection with Indigenous students from around the nation through cross-campus collaboration and individual support.<\/li>\n<li>Advocating for rigorous support efforts for students from all walks of life, quantifying student engagement and a sense of belonging to improve procedures and success methodology.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively launching and supporting a mentorship program for the OSU Ecampus computer science program to track its impact on alumni engagement, student retention and overall program investment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cMarleigh\u2019s accomplishments paired with her passion for student success have allowed OSU Ecampus to thrive in our efforts to serve diverse learners worldwide,\u201d said Lisa L. Templeton, the Ecampus associate provost. \u201cHer thoughtful leadership, steadfast work ethic and social justice mindset continues to benefit students and the field of higher education at large.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This award is both prestigious and competitive.
