Oregon is rising fast as a national leader in the semiconductor industry \u2014 and Oregon State University is at the forefront of that momentum.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a new episode of the popular <\/span>\u201cTechlandia\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a>, Tom Weller \u2014 the head of Oregon State\u2019s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science \u2014 shares how the university\u2019s efforts align with state and federal priorities to drive innovation, workforce development and industry partnerships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Presented by the Technology Association of Oregon, \u201cTechlandia\u201d is hosted by TAO president and CEO Skip Newberry. The show features conversations with leaders in tech and explores how emerging technologies are impacting Oregon\u2019s workforce and economy. It also serves as a platform to advocate for the growth and success of the tech industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this episode, Newberry and Weller discuss Oregon State\u2019s developments in the semiconductor industry. OSU’s key projects stand out as innovative solutions that combine research and industry needs, with emphasis on AI applications and workforce education to meet the projected growth in semiconductor demand.<\/span><\/p>\n

The university is also a partner institution of the <\/span>Semiconductor Research Corporation<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>Northwest AI Hub<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
