At Oregon State University Ecampus, there\u2019s always a helping hand available to guide you toward your degree.<\/p>\n<p>From student success counseling to 24\/7 library support, online students have access to a variety of Oregon State resources from a distance.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates from the Ecampus class of 2017 share how they utilized <a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/services\/student-services\/\">OSU\u2019s student resources<\/a> to enhance their education and propel them in their career paths.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div id=\"attachment_639\" class=\"wp-caption wp-caption-265 alignright\" style=\"width: 265px\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-639 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/news\/assets\/Eric-Broadfoot.jpg?resize=265%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Eric Broadfoot, who earned a B.S. in Economics online with Oregon State Ecampus, sits with a laptop on his crossed legs.\" width=\"265\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/news\/assets\/Eric-Broadfoot.jpg?w=265&amp;ssl=1 265w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/news\/assets\/Eric-Broadfoot.jpg?resize=200%2C150&amp;ssl=1 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eric Broadfoot, B.S. in Economics<\/p><\/div>\n<h2><strong>Career services<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/services\/student-services\/career\/\">career advising services<\/a> and OSU Beaver Careers (now known as <a href=\"http:\/\/career.oregonstate.edu\/handshake\">Handshake<\/a>) assisted me in not only researching and connecting with jobs, but also with preparing for interviews,\u201d says Eric Broadfoot from Madison, Wisconsin (<a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/online-degrees\/undergraduate\/economics\/\">B.S. in Economics<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>I used the speed mock interview tool several times to practice for interviews.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eric says enrolling with Ecampus was the best option for him, with student services and resources and advisors that made him feel connected and supported.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Ecampus student success<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cDuring my first term, I opted in for the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/services\/student-services\/success\/\">Ecampus mentoring<\/a>, which was a great way to ease into the university,\u201d says Erin Mathias from Portland, Oregon (<a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.oregonstate.edu\/online-degrees\/undergraduate\/fw\/\">B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>To have someone to bounce questions and concerns off of helped me feel like I was a valued part of the student body, even though I was not on campus. It was really helpful during those hard first couple of weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Erin, who is the first in her family to go to college, says her degree will allow her to follow her childhood dreams of working with animals.
