B.A./B.S. Liberal Studies – Online

Curriculum

As an Oregon State liberal studies student, you'll develop an individualized degree plan with the support of your academic advisor from courses within the College of Liberal Arts. Your individual plan will align with your academic, personal and career goals. While you have the flexibility and support to build a degree plan custom to your goals, the liberal studies program is not a general studies degree.

A minimum of 180 quarter credits are required to graduate with your liberal studies degree, including:

A new completion degree – focused on affordability

The B.A./B.S. in Applied Humanities is designed for students with some college but no degree and provides you an affordable path to graduation.

The completion scholarship (zero tuition for your last 12 credits) is only available as a part of the applied humanities online program.

You’ll benefit from low-cost and no-cost course materials, and you’ll have maximum flexibility in your coursework choices.

Honors degree online

As an undergraduate degree-seeking student, you can apply to earn an honors degree online in your academic major. Earning this prestigious degree gives you the opportunity to collaborate with faculty on research, complete a comprehensive thesis experience and engage in co-curricular activities.

Transfer credits

Some degree requirements may be transferred from other institutions. Please note that a minimum of 45 credits of the last 75 credits in this degree program must be completed at Oregon State (online or on campus) to meet the academic residency requirement.

Previously earned credits will need to be reviewed upon admittance to OSU for appropriate articulation. Additional information about transferring credits is available through OSU’s Transfer Credit Central.
