Adriane particularly enjoys incorporating digital media into her research, whether as a primary site of data collection–such as Taylor Swift fan forums–or as a means of engaging in traditional research practices–such as using instant messenger to conduct interviews with research subjects. Adriane teaches courses on a wide range of topics, including youth studies, popular culture, feminist theory, and masculinities, in addition to core introductory courses in the field of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. She also serves as director of the Anne Pedersen Women’s Resource Center at Augsburg College.
