In October 2016, Therese gave her first TEDx talk on women and decision-making.\u00a0\u00a0Harvard University Press published Therese\u2019s first book, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teaching What You Don&#8217;t Know<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which won a Book of the Year Award in Education from Foreword Literary Reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Therese received her BA from Carleton College, a B.S. and PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition at the University of Pittsburgh.\u00a0\u00a0She founded the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Seattle University.
