Ecampus Financial Hardship Grant - Graduate Students

Oregon State Ecampus has set aside funding to assist online students who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship that interferes with academic progress. This funding is being provided to help ensure that Ecampus students with demonstrated financial need are able to continue their education at OSU.

Graduate student eligibility requirements

Students eligible to apply for the grant must be:

  • An Ecampus graduate student currently enrolled in an Ecampus graduate degree program and pursuing their first graduate degree at OSU
  • The student must have successfully completed at least two academic quarters and 12 total required credits toward the degree.
  • Enrolled in at least 3 online graduate credits at OSU during (1) the term in which the application is submitted and (2) have registered or intend to register in the term immediately following the term in which the application is submitted
  • Making satisfactory academic progress toward their degree and in good academic standing as defined by their program and by the Graduate School (to be confirmed by the program director/major advisor)
  • Currently experiencing economic hardship that significantly impedes their academic progress in their current degree program at Oregon State University
  • Able to provide clear and convincing rationale as to how this financial hardship will interrupt immediate academic progress toward coursework required to complete their degree at Oregon State University

Students will be ineligible for the hardship grant if:

  • They are in their final term at OSU AND they are in a program requiring successful defense and completion of a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation
  • They are in a graduate certificate program, as certificate programs are not considered degrees at OSU
  • They are coded as a Corvallis, PDX, or any other campus graduate student

Instead, students should contact their department for nomination for the Graduate School’s Thesis or Dissertation Completion Award.

Students should also consider contacting their program of student for consideration for the Delson Bridge to the Future Fund.
