SPAN 339 – Mexican Immigrant Experience in the United States (3)

Examines the historical, economic, and social determinants of Mexican migration to the United States. Analyzes the social, ethnic, linguistic, political and economic consequences for migrant families and communities on both sides of the Río Grande, through readings, movies, radio programs and music from various disciplines such as history, sociology, economics, ethnography, and creative literature. Taught in Spanish. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
