TRAL 354 – Communities, Natural Areas, and Sustainable Tourism (3)

Introduces students to macro-level community and regional issues associated with tourism in natural areas. Explores positive and negative community impacts associated with tourism, traditional government-based tourism management and policies; community-based tourism management, and partnerships and stakeholder collaboration. Domestic and international examples are used to illustrate concepts and principles. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
