Ready to Apply: Degree-Seeking Students
OSU admission process includes completion of an application, payment of the non-refundable application fee, and submission of all official transcripts. Degree-seeking students need to apply for admissions online. The process can take up to four weeks for students to receive an admissions decision, so check the Academic Calendar to ensure that you will meet registration deadlines for the term of entry you desire.
Listed below are the different admissions types offered at OSU. Within each of these, you will find the requirements, deadlines and application forms.
- First Year Information (students with 0-35 hours of previous college transfer work)
- Degree Partnership (qualified students enrolled at OSU and community college partner)
- Transfer Information (transfer student with more than 36 transfer credit hours)
- Postbaccalaureate Information (students seeking subsequent bachelor's degrees, minors or certificates).
- Graduate Information (requirements, deadlines and application)
Financial Aid Information
Students applying for financial aid must be fully admitted as a degree seeking student at OSU to be eligible. Contact the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships at OSU to begin the application process. Read more info on our Financial Aid web page.
Returning OSU Student Information
Previously admitted students to OSU are eligible to register if they have not been out of school for longer than three consecutive terms, not including summer. If students have been out longer, they must apply for re-admission. For questions, please contact the Registrar's office at 541-737-4331. On the Registrar's Forms for Students page, you will find the Re-Admission Application.
Graduate students are eligible to register if they have only been out of school for up to two terms, including summer. If they have not registered for courses within the past 3 terms, they must contact the OSU Graduate School.
