Oregon State Ecampus delivers a variety of educational opportunities to individuals interested in personal or professional enrichment and prefer the flexibility of online learning and programs delivered off-campus. We are currently expanding our offerings of open courseware, learning modules and massive open online courses (MOOCs).
Open online courses
Open Oregon State works with OSU faculty to create online educational resources that can be accessed freely by students and teachers in digital media collections around the world. Examples of open educational resources (OERs) include full courses, course modules, syllabi, lectures, homework assignments, quizzes, classroom activities, pedagogical materials, games and much more.
Supporting English Language Learners under New Standards
This free, open online course for K-12 educators starts in October 2014. Supporting English Language Learners under New Standards is an eight-week, online course designed to help teachers support English language learners in meeting new, rigorous standards. Specifically, the course will focus on a key practice within both the Common Core State Standards and new English Language Proficiency Standards: constructing claims supported by evidence.
Endorsed by the Oregon Department of Education for Oregon K-12 teachers, the content is also open to teachers outside of Oregon and is especially relevant to those educators in the 11-state ELPA21 consortium.
