I have been working in higher education since 2004, wearing many hats along the way. I began my higher education career in student activities and orientation programs. After working full time for a year, I decided I needed another challenge and began working on my master’s degree on a part-time basis (while still working full-time). After completing my master’s program, I shifted my focus to teaching General Education Development (GED) and College Success Courses. I then moved halfway across the country to be an academic advisor for Oklahoma State University (yes, that other OSU). In 2012, I came home to Oregon and have been with Oregon State University ever since. I have been an academic advisor for several majors at Oregon State, working with both on-campus and Ecampus students before my shift to working as a student success coach and navigator for Ecampus.

Everything I stand for – drive, determination, the unyielding commitment to excellence – is all part of my everyday experience working in post-secondary education. I am committed to making every student’s experience rewarding, and, as a member of the Ecampus student success team, my contributions are part of the bigger picture of facilitating success, retention and graduation.

Outside of work, I enjoy fitness (including obstacle course mud runs), live comedy, hiking, camping, gardening and spending time with my wife, daughter, extended family and friends.
