How are online courses set up? |

Ecampus online courses are created with the idea that a distance student should never have to step foot on the Oregon State University campus. For many students, all coursework is completed in their own areas. OSU Ecampus uses the Canvas learning management system, which serves as a virtual classroom. Instructors post class notes, homework assignments, syllabi, quizzes and grades within Canvas. Class discussions and communication with the instructor are also facilitated through Canvas. In addition to textbooks, some courses also use learning tools such as internet videos or lab kits. Please check the course-specific page on the Ecampus schedule of classes to see if you will need to rent or purchase these items from the OSU Beaver Store. Some courses require a proctor in your area for midterms and final exams. If your course requires a proctor, please see the exam proctoring page for more information. |
