19th Annual Provost's Literary Prize
OSU undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their work for the 19th annual Provost's Literary Prize. The literary work can be fiction, poetry (including a group of poems), or nonfiction written for a general audience. The prize consists of an award of $500 and publication for on-campus distribution.
The prize is open to currently enrolled undergraduate students at Oregon State University, who may submit their own work or have work nominated by faculty members. Submissions must be the student's original work, typed, no longer than 20 manuscript pages for prose, or eight manuscript pages for poetry, and include the full name, year in school, current mailing address, phone number, and student ID number of the writer.
Deadline for submission of work for consideration is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.
Entries should be submitted to the Provost’s Literary Prize Screening Committee via Karen Holmberg in the English department: Karen.Holmberg@oregonstate.edu, or Moreland Hall 238. Questions may be directed to Dr. Holmberg at 541-737-1661. The winner of the 2007 Provost’s Literary Prize will be announced in May.
