MTH 105Z – +math in Society (4)
Explores present-day applications of mathematics focused on developing numeracy. Major topics include quantitative reasoning and problem-solving strategies, probability and statistics, and financial mathematics; these topics are to be weighted approximately equally. Emphasizes mathematical literacy and communication, relevant everyday applications, and the appropriate use of current technology. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
