ANS 201 – Domestic Animal Systems I (3)

Describe management of dairy cattle, swine, and small ruminants including health, nutrition, reproduction, housing and economics. Explore history and development of domesticated animal species. Identify common breeds, their characteristics and uses. Compare structure of animal industries including species specific management practices. Evaluate current issues in domesticated animal use and management. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
