CH 201 – General Chemistry for Engineering Applications (3)

Introduces the structures, properties, and fundamental concepts in chemistry. Focuses on problem-solving with chemical concepts, developing an understanding of how processes and materials are used throughout all fields of engineering work. Topics include components of matter, atomic structure, chemical reactions, dimensional analysis, stoichiometry, light and the electromagnetic spectrum, chemical bonding, molecular shapes, thermochemistry, solutions, and gases. (Core Education course if taken with CH 204) This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
