HST 203 – +Contesting Freedoms: Making the Modern United States (4)
Explores the history of the United States in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, tracing the role of political, legal, economic, social, and cultural events and forces in the evolution of citizenship, national identity, and global engagement. Includes particular emphasis on the evolution of inequalities based on race, class, gender, immigration status, and national origin, as well as strategies of resistance and resilience among oppressed individuals and communities. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
