ENG 211 – +Literatures of the World: Africa (4)
Explores representative works of literature from nonwestern cultural traditions, specifically from Africa, within a global context. Examines fiction, poetry, prose and film in a multiplicity of genres from precolonial, colonial and postcolonial Africa. Analyzes representations of Africans and African culture through a comparative critical lens to understand the transformative powers of humans within various historical contexts in a globalized world. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
