NUTR 216 – +Food and Culture (3)

Explores cultural and historical determinants influencing food habits of humans globally. Examines interrelation of eating patterns and socio cultural, religious, philosophical, ecological, psychological and economic factors in cross cultural settings, as well as personal food preferences in relation to cultural identification. Emphasizes food as artistic and aesthetic expressions of culture. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
