H 225 – +Social Determinants of Health (4)

Explores how social conditions, factors, institutions, and systems where we are born, grow, work, live, and age influence health. Explores historical and contemporary examples of health determinants to examine why different risks of poor health and premature mortality persist. Applies selected models to demonstrate the complex interplay between individual, interpersonal, organizational, community, and societal factors. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
