Highlights a critical approach to intercultural communication. Explores culture-general concepts, power dimensions, and macrostructures of society to demonstrate how culture affects communication. Raises self-awareness and other-awareness concerning cultural group memberships and personal identities. Emphasizes respect for diverse ways of communicating in different cultural situations. Develops skills to communicate effectively with others. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
