FES 240 – +forest Biology (4)

Examines the structure and function of forests from cells to ecosystems, including concepts from woody plant physiology, growth, reproduction, adaptation, evolution, biogeochemical cycling, and ecology. Explores relationships between forest biology and practices in forestry, natural resource management, and conservation. Develops familiarity and practice with the scientific method in required field trips/fieldwork. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
