GEOG 240 – +Human Dimensions of Climate Change (3)
Introduces students to the field of human-environment geography, focusing on how human institutions, social systems, and cultural processes shape collective behavior and societal outcomes in the context of climate change. Explores climate-related challenges, and examines how governance structures, market systems, cultural norms, and planning practices influence patterns of vulnerability, emissions, adaptation, and transformation. Emphasizes both quantitative and qualitative methods for analyzing human–environment interactions and explores pathways for institutional and societal change toward a more resilient future. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
