ANTH 250 – +Language, Culture and Society (4)

Examines the relationship between language, culture, and thought, and the primary ways in which language constitutes social relations. Describes the structure and communicative function of language with attention to diverse language forms and dialects. Analyzes linguistic processes that threaten language diversity and applies theoretical concepts to situational uses of language across cultures. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
