GEOG 250 – +Land Use Planning for Sustainable Communities (3)

Explores the history and current practices of land use and community planning. Characterizes how U.S. government and societal institutions create and dismantle rules, policies, and perceptions regarding how and for whom landscapes are utilized and the impacts of those decisions. Applies real-world land use scenarios and examines how quantitative and qualitative data can be used to analyze human-environmental impacts of land use decisions. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
