HORT 270 – Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture (3)

Introduces the horticultural therapy profession. Provides an overview of program models for clinical and non-clinical settings. Explores working within an interdisciplinary treatment team in a healthcare setting. Covers basic medical terminology and core concepts of group therapy. Introduces community health and wellness connections, diversity, and stress reduction into the practice of therapeutic horticulture. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
