PHL 275 – Introduction to Disability Studies (4)
Introduces core concepts and themes in the multidisciplinary field of disability studies. Analyzes disability as a product of discriminatory, oppressive, and inaccessible built environments and societies. Explores disability pride, culture, and community as alternatives to medical and charity models of disability.
