SOC 280 – +Introduction to Environment and Society (3)

Introduces the subdiscipline of environmental sociology that focuses on the relationship between society and the environment. Explores the basic concepts in sociology and applies them to a range of environment and natural resource issues. Examines social policies and actions to address environmental challenges. Helps students explore how social science provides insight into the ways human activities are connected to natural systems, while also shaped by social institutions and processes.
