FW 302 – Biology and Conservation of Marine Mammals (4)

Examines the biology of cetaceans, pinnipeds, and other marine mammals. Topics including general adaptations to a marine existence; systematics and biogeography; reproduction; diving physiology; communication and echolocation; feeding and migratory behavior; the role of genetics in conservation; current whaling regulations and marine mammal/human interactions.
