MUS 309 – Women in Western Music (3)
Explores the powerful roles women have played in both Western classical and popular music, from the Medieval Era to the present day. Drawing on historical, contemporary, and cross-cultural ideas and repertoire, the course will identify contributions women have made as composers, performers, patrons, educators, and consumers, and will examine why women's contributions were ignored in the past. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course. Check the offerings below for more information.
