PSY 340 – Cognitive Psychology (4)

Provides an in-depth analysis of a variety of topics related to cognitive psychology introduced in lower-division coursework. Explores the processes involved in the creation and storage of mental representations of objects, situations, actions and states, and the use of these representations to guide behavior. Emphasizes critical evaluation of empirical research and theoretical models beyond the introductory level. Covers topics including perception, attention, memory, reasoning, decision making, and language. This course may be subject to Enforced Prerequisites that restrict registration into the course.
